So tried

Bug's sleeping pattern is totally off kilter! And don't know how to fix it. I guess I won't let her nap tomorrow (toady) and make her go to bed early tomorrow night.

Bare Naked Lady

Ella spent most of the day outside! It was a gorgeous day! Cool, light breeze, sun shining! My kid played and played!

Did a little chalk art!!

Made a few mud pies!

And even rode our "bike"!

It was a great day!!!

Busy day

Today was Groundhog's Day. Wally's birthday. And Super Bowl Sunday!

Phil saw his shadow so we are looking at 6 more weeks of this carp.

Broncos didn't even show up to play.

But I did get to talk to Wally and wish him a happy birthday!

She actually picks out her clothes in the morning. She's so funny!!

So proud

We are having breakfast at McDonald's this morning. I know! But we've been cooped up in the house for a week and a half! Ella is climbing up the play structure and I love watching her figure out how she can get to the next level. Her legs aren't quite long enough to climb without help!!

So proud of that Monkey!

Happy Birthday

Friday was my 42nd birthday!! I honestly didn't think I would make it this long on this earth. Bit now that I have Dan and Ella in my life I want to be here for many many years to come!

Day 1 Selfie

Frustrated

Why is it that when we have to go to his family's houses we HAVE to leave on time. My mom asked us to be at the house by 11:30. It is now 10:45. He has just gotten out of the shower. We won't leave until 11:15. E and I have been ready to go for almost two hours. I asked him to get moving around 9:15. And again at 9:30.

It not fair to me or my family. And then he's going to cut out visit. He's not comfortable around my family. He's not giving them a chance. I don't if I can do this year after year. Or visit after visit. He wants to visit my family when it's convenient for him.

I should just go without him. I think he would be happier that way.

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Bug! I cant believe you are two today!! Daddy and I love you to the moon and back and a million times over!! You have brought so much love and joy to our lives!!

 

Wal-Mart & My Babies

I almost went ballistic on a man today at Wal-Mart today.

My friends and fellow MOMS Club Board Members went to Wal-Mart to purchase turkeys to be donated to Project HELP.

Jackie had called on Sunday to verify they had at least the number we were looking to purchase. They informed her that the price was going down from $1·19 to $·68 a lb.

They hadn't changed the price when we got there this morning. The guys from the meat department helped us locate the turkeys we needed but then took our carts so they could weigh and remark our turkeys.

Now the fun starts...Ella, Joshua, and Jade were starting to get board so they started to entertain themselves. They were chasing each other and spinning in circles. Minding their own business, this guy walked up to me and told me I  needed to learn to control my children.

How dare he? They weren't hurting anyone. They weren't running wild. They weren't running into anybody. They were just having fun. Not to mention that I had my eye on them the whole time.

Well I pretty much told the guy to go fuck himself. It's none of his damn business unless they were bothering him or running into him. He said no, but children shouldn't be allowed to behave like that in public and those that let them are terrible parents. So I just me the worst since they were out of control.

I told him He was an asshole and again it wasn't any of his business.

I was shaking so badly, Rachel and Jackie didn't hear the exchange until I called him an asshole and were looking at me like I had lost my mind. That was until I told what happened!

Don't mess with my babies. Biological or otherwise!

Thankful Days

November 1 - I am thankful for my health. Since we don't currently have insurance!

November 2 - I am thankful that my husband has a job.

November 3 - I am thankful for Daylight Savings! That extra hour of sleep is much needed!

November 4 - I am thankful for my parents. They are the most generous and supportive people on this earth. I would not be the person I am without them.

November 5 - I am thankful for my friends!

November 6 - I am thankful for my pets. As silly as it sounds, they keep me sane!!

November 7 - I am thankful for MOMS Club of HEB. Without these ladies I would be lost and struggling for find my way as a SAHM.

November 8 - I am thankful for my Daddy. 34 years ago today I officially made me his daughter! I have always called him Dad. And he has always thought of me as his own!

November 9 - I am thankful for DVR! Recording Ella's favorite shows has been beneficial to all in this house!!

November 10 -  I am thankful for Ella! Two years ago she entered the world and my life! It has never been the same since!! She is so funny, smart, beautiful and caring!! Happy Birthday!!

November 11 - I am thankful for my freedom! I am completely aware of the sacrifices that soldiers and their families make everyday to continue to give us this right!

November 12 - I am thankful for my sister Ashley. She is my best friend. I would be lost without her.

November 13 - I am thankful for MOMS Club. A year and a half ago I found myself not working and stuck at home with a small child. This group saved my sanity! 

November 14 - I am thankful for the DVR. I record Mickey Mouse for Ella to keep her entertained so i can get some housework done!

November 15 - I am thankful for my cousin Jessica. Almost two years ago we almost lost her. I am thankful that she has straightened her life around. I am so proud of her! Happy Birthday!!

November 16 -  I am thankful for the Internet and being able to stay connected to my friends and reconnect to old ones!!
November 17 - I am thankful for my husband!! He works so hard for our family! He is working so I can stay home with Ella!! Happy Birthday, Baby!!

Trouble

I'm in trouble now. I had an accident in my car. And we don't have the funds or insurance on my car. It is still drivable.

I may have driven my husband to go crazy. We can't seem to get out of debt. We can't catch a break.

Please pray that our luck will turn for the better!

Halloween

This was the first year that Ella was old enough to go Trick or Treating! We went to my friend Wendy's neighborhood and it was AWESOME! There were kids everywhere! It totally reminded me of my grandparents' neighborhood in Houston when I was a kid in my plastic table cloth costume with cheap plastic mask! Good times!!!

Before we left for Wendy's house, I tried to give Ella a lesson on saying" trick or treat"! She just laughed at me!!

So tired

It's been a long couple of days. Ella has been sleeping in our bed. I love it of course but I don't sleep that we'll when she's in here. To make it worse; she's running a fever. Now I worry about her and don't want to sleep.

I know she's cutting teeth. She has one that is almost all the way through. And it looks like there are 5 more trying to make their way through! My poor baby!!

Milestone: First Haircut

Dan and I have been contemplating doing this for a couple of months. Haven't wanted to because that would mean that I would have to admit that my child is no longer a baby!

I mean, I KNOW she isn't but I just want to keep her my baby as long as possible!

After getting our haircut we went to our favorite fast-food place for a celebration!

I feel so blessed to be chosen to be Ella's mom! She is such a pleasure and joy to raise! Granted she is a handful but I wouldn't have her any other way!!

New phone

So I had to buy a new phone last week. My old one just completely crapped out on me. Stopped working for no reason. Bad thing was I didn't have insurance on it.

AT&T has a New program where you basically "lease" a new phone. O wasn't up for an upgrade so that is the route I took!

The phone I got has some really cool features on it. Still learning it. The screen on this phone is bigger than my entire old phone; which was bigger than my old iPhone!

I'm either going to go to sleep or play with my phone.

First Day of School

It's the first day of school for most people in Texas. My nieces started todau; one Kindergarten and two started 2nd Grade. I have one niece that is going to be home schooled but did start part of her program on Friday!

I can't believe how fast my babies are growing up! Emery just turned 8 last week!! She and Jossie will be teenagers before I know it!

I know it is inevitable that Ella will start school, but I don't want to think about her leaving me for the day! I can't even bring myself to let her stay the night with any of her grandparents!

But I do know that when the time does come, she will be great! She will make lots of friends on her first day!

I love all my babies and I hope for the best school year for each and every one of them!!!

Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo has had another baby elephant born this summer! Prior to Baby Belle there hasn't been a baby elephant born since the mid 90's!!

The bigger baby is Belle and the new baby is Bowie! They are so cute!!

Mommy Probs

Love it when we visit Dan's mom. She loves that little girl so much. But E doesn't sleep after visiting! Not sure why. Marilyn doesn't over stimulate her. Doesn't really give her sugars. They just play and eat tomatoes!

We got home late tonight and E fell asleep about 5 mins from home (typical) tonight she woke up at 1:30 am and I rocked my sweet baby and rubbed her back until she fell back to sleep. She hasn't fallen asleep on my chest since she was a wee little baby!

I loved every bit of it!!

I stood in her room for about 15 mins after I put her back in her crib and watched her sleep! Such a sweet little thing!

I found myself at awe that I get to be HER mommy!!
